THE BASICS

Oh hi, I’m Emily!

I create things. Lots of things.

I wrote full-length novels and scored orchestral music in high school; I launched my full-time freelance photography and videography services in college, and I’m self-taught in branding and graphic design. I started my first podcast (the Can’t Relate podcast) this year, and am delving into my online art shop (I’m working on stickers, prints, t-shirts, totes, crochet pieces - I’ve got my hands in a lot of hobbies).

THE BEFORE

I was a full-time freelance photographer, videographer, and content creator up until 2020, when I watched the pandemic wipe all of my jobs from my slate. I spent that fever dream of a time baking banana bread, painting, and watching a shit load of Tiktok’s to cope. I worked several nanny jobs and a $7 an hour coffee shop gig until my partner and I moved to Las Vegas, where we spent two years slowly, and quite painfully, rebuilding what the pandemic had shattered.

THE NOW

We moved to LA in May 2023, and when I’m not working, my free time is both colorful and calming: I love my daily walks, reading, playing with our cats, watching comfort shows, playing my Switch (Tears of the Kingdom, Animal Crossing, and Stardew Valley are S-tier), and reaping the benefits of a partner who loves to cook homemade biscuits or craft homemade kefir, kombucha, and cocktails.
